How To Activate The Baldur's Gate 3 Deleted Saves Fix On Xbox

It's taken a month to arrive, but we might finally have a permanent fix for the Baldur's Gate 3 deleted saves issue on Xbox! A firmware fix was rolled out to all Xbox users yesterday, but for now at least, it needs to be activated manually.

To do this, you'll need to head over to the "Settings" menu on your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your Xbox
  2. Select "System"
  3. Go down to "Updates"
  4. In here, you should see a prompt to "Update Console" (unless it's already updated)

We should point out that this firmware fix won't bring back any old Baldur's Gate 3 saves on Xbox, so if you've lost a bunch of hours in the past, you're sadly out of luck. The hope is that it will prevent any issues like this from reoccurring in the future, although it's too early for us to say whether it's solved the problem for good just yet.

Fingers crossed we don't get any more reports of this - and it might even have fixed the issue in other games as well!
